A Forum for LIFE, Inc. was founded to provide developmentally appropriate education and training programs designed to enhance individual's economic, emotional, intellectual and physical growth. We offer a unique curriculum to the ethnically and economically diverse community of Greater New York.
In Community Partnership with the Administration for Children's Services' Agency for Child Development and Head Start, we have developed and implement a comprehensive health & wellness curriculum. As an Authorized provider for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons & The American College of Emergency Physicians, this unique organization provides a full array of First Aid and CPR certification. A Forum for LIFE conveys vital information that assist individuals to reach greater heights within their potiental. We help one develop skills, knowledge, and other human resources and apply these toward a career path. Our affiliations and community partnerships with thousands of community based organizations allow us to network and market the participant into greater self-actualization.
A Forum for LIFE has a primary focus on placing women into positions of coaching, mentoring and leadership. A woman's innate ability to collaborate and build relationships are highly valued. We will help one to recognize areas that promote achievement and emphasize credentials. A solid portfolio of acomplishments stands proof of your ability.
A Forum for LIFE advocates green living and provides much needed education on environmental issues; Global Warming, Overpopulation, Deforestation, Habitat / Species Loss and Polution. The Earth must be seen as our mother and developing a mindset of conservation of the environment is necessary for survival. The rainforest provide a large portion of the oxygen that we breath not to mention over 120 vital prescription drugs that millions depend on each day. More than two-thirds of all cancer-fighting drugs come from rainforest plants.
STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL AID AVAILABILITY
Each year the operating budget of our organization reflects the assumption that some organizations and students will require financial aid. Fund raising events by the governing body and conributions from friend provide a limited amout of financial support each year.
Donations to existing funds and the establishment of new ones are always welcome and are essential for the development and growth of our mission. PROGRAMS
Community based organizations, schools, daycare centers, both formal and family, i
ndividuals of low to moderate income, women in need, and at risk youth are qualified to benefit from our programs.
Key facets that foster self-actualization include family, academia, career and recreation. Participants gain strong core values and solid foundations for productive living.
